Available stock can be managed via PrimeX to allow sales team to share a dynamic view of available stock. Orders can easily be created using available stock and team members can see updated stock levels as orders are confirmed. 

This article explains how to manually add and remove available stock items. PrimeX can help automate stock updates via a live API connection or via csv stock file import.

Add stock

  • To add a single stock item, you can use the Add stock form, via the + icon in inventory module, as shown below. 

  1. Select the + icon

  2. SKU: Type at least 3 characters of the SKU code or SKU description to view and select the required product

  3. Location: Type or select the internal location for the stock item 

  4. Total number of cartons: Add the total number of cartons available

  5. Total net weight: Enter the total net weight (kg) of the stock (Note: PrimeX will use this net weight and the total number of cartons to calculate average carton weight)

  6. Production date: Enter the production date (only past dates will be accepted)

  7. Activate the 'Add another' option if you want the form to stay open for another stock entry

  8. Press Add to save the stock item

Remove stock

  • To remove a single stock item via the inventory module, select 'Remove' from the triple dot menu at the right side of the required stock item. Refer to the image below:

  • You can remove stock in bulk if you want to remove more than one stock item at once. Follow the steps below:

  1. Select the multi-select feature from the icons on the top right of the inventory page

  2. Use the checkboxes to select the stock items you wish to remove 

  3. Select 'Remove' from the menu bar at the bottom of the page.
